A Voice For You
I attended Parsons School of Design in New York City. In 1984 while in school I was hired as a part time driver by FedEx. I didn’t know it at the time, but that was the beginning of a 32 year career. In 1990 I entered the ranks of management. I held management level positions for 28 years, working in NYC, Colorado, Oregon, Utah and the Bay Area. During the last 17 years I was the Managing Director of Operations for the Bay Area and the state of Hawaii. My responsibilities included building our annual operating budgets, managing more than 100 members of management and 2000+ team members. I retired in November 2016.
At FedEx I served as the National Chair of the United Way Campaign for nearly 10 years and doubled our annual contribution. I managed the FedEx AIDS/Lifecylce Sponsorship for 10 years contributing over $500,000. I worked closely with the Bay Area Red Cross and served as a board member of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
I am a lifelong volunteer. I give time to helping our veterans, our aging population, our homeless, our schools and those struggling to meet their daily needs.
I am a proud member of the San Bruno Rotary and am in the process of joining the San Bruno Lions Club. These organizations support San Bruno schools, help distribute food, help our senior center and support our city.
Some of the organizations I have given time to are:
San Bruno American Legion Chapter 409,
San Bruno AYSO,
Second Harvest Food Drive Belle Air,
Belle Air School Functions, AIDS Lifecycle (10 Years),
SF Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank,

Boards, Committees and Commissions
I am a San Mateo County Arts Commissioner. I currently serve on the San Bruno Traffic Safety & Parking Committee, Measure X Oversight Committee and on the National Safe Kids Walk This Way Campaign.
I served two terms on the United Way of The Bay Area Board and 2 years on the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce.
I moved to San Bruno 2001. My wife, Sandra M. Perez Vargas, has lived in San Bruno for the past 27 years. I’m the very proud father of two great daughters. One is currently in Law School at Davis and the other was accepted to USC for Graduate School. In my spare time I love to spend time with family, my art, outdoor sports, traveling, and volunteering.
If given the opportunity to serve the people of San Bruno on the City Council I will work hard to serve your interests. I’m approachable and listen to the people of this city. I hope to meet you and earn your vote for one of two City Council Positions.
